The truth doesn't "get in the way of" a good story, it IS a good story      
I've always taken care to get my facts right and I take pride in providing entertaining history, rather than history flavoured entertainment. Over the years I've done a great deal of research for tours and other projects at Hampton Court Palace where getting it right was taken seriously. I've also done work on my own family - the background of this page is from my great x 5 Grandfather's will* - on local pubs and even for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Runnymede Borough Council.

Doing research for you    
I'm available to undertake private research. From your family tree to putting on a play or making a movie. Maybe you own a pub and want to know more about its history and use it in your decor and marketing. Whatever your project, get in touch and I will let you know if I can help. A passion for pubs    
The pub is one of the great cultural icons of England. They are having a tougher time than ever and we are losing them fast. If you run a pub and want to make the most of its history I would love to help you. From suitable prints for the walls to researching a new pub sign or old pub legend to a full on historical fun day.
